$49 to $1 - Great return on marketing that any shop would love

The title says it all.  Tuffy Auto Service Center in Clinton Township, MI is up to $42.92 in additional sales for every $1.00 being put into their smrt marketing program.  If I didn't think I'd get in trouble for not doing anything back here in the marketing department, I'd just post those results and go mess around on Facebook or something.  It's not like those results need extra writing from me to look good.  Put a dollar in, get forty-two back out.  How do I improve that story?

Tuffy Auto Service Center is up and running now, and they've been mailing for a little over a month. They're seeing responses already and the program is still in its early phase.  The initial analysis of their database has identified who their customers are, broken down by consumer segments.  Just for fun, we can look at their largest segment by percentage.

Well, it was a crazy rollout month, and the activity around smrt was intense.  The contest entries have all been gathered up now, and once we've contacted them, we'll post the name of the winning shop soon.  We want to thank everyone who entered and all those who are showing so much interest in smrt.  To be totally honest, a lot of work went into this product release over the last year, a ton over the last six months, so it was really, really nice to get the warm response and the level of interest we have received (and are still getting).

Mad Scientists Trying to Give Money Away?

Crazy guys in white lab coats running around showing off the new product pretty much describes how the CARS event went in Vegas last week. Our team, Mark, Jim, Joe, Steve B., Steve L. and Eric, wore lab coats as part of the promotion to help convey the scientific sense of our new technology.  They got a TON of people signed up for our “smrtest shop on the planet” contest (a year of free smrt marketing), and the activity on the website sign-up sheet has really taken off.
